Role summary
Archive is seeking an experienced Headless CMS Developer for a remote, contract position to build a bilingual digital platform for a non-profit organization. The role involves configuring and extending a headless CMS, delivering bilingual content structures, editorial tools, and content APIs. Responsibilities include supporting media connections, migration, and training for content editors. Candidates must have production experience with modern headless CMS and customization tools, structured content, taxonomy, metadata, and bilingual content relationships. Fluency in English is required, and French fluency is a significant asset. Experience in nonprofit or education sectors is preferred. Availability during EST business hours is necessary.
This is a remote position.
Archive is assembling a team to build a bilingual digital platform for a non profit organization. Each role has one planned assignment, with specialist involvement as needed. Qualified people may cover more than one role.
Client's internal team leads product, business project management, UX/design and English/French content. Archive leads technical delivery and handover. All candidates should demonstrate relevant delivery experience, collaborative working and clear documentation. Nonprofit or education experience is an asset.
This contract role is to configure and extend the headless CMS with Client’s content and taxonomy leads. Deliver bilingual content structures, editorial tools and content APIs, and support media connections, migration and training for content editors.
Requirements
Production experience with a modern headless CMS and its customization tools.
Structured content, taxonomy, metadata and English/French content relationships.
Editorial permissions, preview, approval workflows and publishing controls.
Content APIs, media integration, validation, automated tests and editor documentation.
5 to 10 year experience, Required within a month, Canada location, Work remotely, Position to remain open till filled
Must be fluent in spoken and written English, huge asset if you are also fluent in spoken and written French.
Prefer contractor located in Canada or the USA. Client is on East Coast of Canada so must be available during standard EST business hours.
