Role summary

Archive is seeking a remote Solution Architect and Technical Lead to build a bilingual digital platform for a nonprofit organization. This contract role requires 5-10 years of experience in technical design and engineering direction, focusing on headless CMS, component-based applications, API-first integration, identity, authorization, data modeling, systems of record, secure data exchange, and AWS architecture. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership, code review, architecture documentation, and knowledge transfer. Experience with AI capabilities, nonprofit or education sectors, and French language proficiency are considered assets. Availability during EST business hours is required, with a preference for candidates in Canada or the USA.

This is a remote position.

Archive is assembling a team to build a bilingual digital platform for a non profit organization.

Each role has one planned assignment, with specialist involvement as needed. Qualified people may cover more than one role.

Client's internal team leads product, business project management, UX/design and English/French content.

Archive leads technical delivery and handover. All candidates should demonstrate relevant delivery experience, collaborative working and clear documentation. Nonprofit or education experience is an asset.

This contract role will own the technical design and engineering direction for project.

Validate prior assumptions and connect the front end, CMS, accounts, integrations and AWS platform while enabling future AI capabilities and long-term support by Client.
Requirements

Architecture experience with headless CMS, component-based applications and API-first integration.

Identity, authorization, data modelling, systems of record and secure data exchange.

AWS architecture, scalability, performance, recovery and operating-cost assessment.

Hands-on technical leadership, code review, architecture documentation and knowledge transfer.

5 to 10 year experience, Required within a month, Canada location, Work remotely, Position to remain open till filled

Must be fluent in spoken and written English, huge asset if you are also fluent in spoken and written French.

Prefer contractor located in Canada or the USA. Client is on the East Coast of Canada so must be available during standard EST business hours.
