Role summary

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing medium to large, complex programs, ensuring successful delivery of defined value and outcomes. This role involves leading program planning, implementation, reporting, and performance management, while coordinating activities with business partners. Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, requirements management, risk assessment, budget oversight, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years of related experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and expertise in project management software and methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Experience managing resources in a matrix organization is also required.

Overview
This role is accountable for one or more medium sized programs that are relatively medium to high complexity, or one large program encompassing multiple workstreams. Focuses on the leading program planning efforts and manages the implementation, reporting, and performance of the overall program to successful delivery of the defined value and outcomes. Coordinates and manages activities with business partners.
Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to build effective relationships and ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and addressed.
  • Plan, elicit, analyze, document, manage, and verify requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment and completion at the project level.
  • Interpret business needs and recommend solutions to business problems at the business unit level.
  • Drive innovation through multi‑stakeholder initiatives that promote creativity, collaboration, and idea generation (e.g., hackathons, jam sessions, innovation platforms).
  • Manage program workstreams using structured change management methodologies to identify and overcome barriers to change.
  • Identify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints, escalating and implementing solutions as required.
  • Produce and maintain integrated program plans, ensuring activities are organized, resourced, and compliant with organizational frameworks and governance standards.
  • Manage program reviews and reporting, providing stakeholders with accurate insights, recommendations, and progress updates to support decision‑
  • Manage program budgets and resources, including cost control, forecasting, variance analysis, and effective utilization.
  • Lead and develop program teams by communicating vision and outcomes, coordinating resources, and building team capability through training, coaching, and mentoring while maintaining professional and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years related work experience
  • An analytical mindset capable of understanding the broader picture and resolving complex issues
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Conceptual understanding and practical expertise in project/program management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com).
  • Conceptual understanding and practical expertise of project management techniques and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence, inspire, and motivate teams
  • Capability to manage and resolve conflicts within teams
  • Experience managing resources in a matrix organization

Nice-to-have Skills (not Required)

  • Experience in vendor management preferred
  • PMP Certification desired
  • Scrum Certification desired

Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
