Role summary
A hybrid, 1-year contract Cloud Engineer role is available in Orlando, FL, requiring 2 days in office. The position focuses on managing and enhancing cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS, with a preference for Rancher for Kubernetes orchestration. Responsibilities include maintaining Kubernetes environments, managing SSL certificates, implementing CDN solutions, diagnosing system outages, and ensuring security compliance. The role also involves developing engineering standards and documenting operational procedures. Duration: 1 year contract (W2 Only)
Schedule/Commute: hybrid; 2 days in office
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders Only
Pay Rate: $85/ HR. on W2
Job Description:
Required:
- Must have Experience in both GCP and AWS Cloud
- Experience with Kubernetes - Rancher Preferred as Orchestrator
- Carries and maintains a relevant and up to date skill set in the areas of Linux, Windows, VMware, clustering technologies, resilient infrastructure design and deployment and automation.
• Ability to describe and differentiate the features, benefits and disadvantages of competing virtualization and cloud platforms • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
- Improve automation and productivity of provisioning and maintenance through scripting enhancements
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple Public Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Services, Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
o Rancher Kubernetes Containerization Experience
o Akamai (CDN)
o Containerization Experience (Docker or Kubernetes)
o AVI Load balance Experience
o Global On-Call Experience Enterprise Support
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Helm Charts and deployment requirements for Kubernetes (Rancher)
- Ensure SSL Certificates across multiple domains are renewed timely without outages
- Complete Akamai CDN implementations and updates
- Diagnose and repair system outages
- Triage and remediate security requirements across cloud and on-premises systems
- Develop and maintain engineering and architectural standards for on premise/hybrid compute, storage and data protections services
- Provide system reports on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Assist in creation and documentation of day-to-day operational procedures.
