Role summary

We are seeking a REMOTE (Senior) QA Engineer for .NET and Angular-based applications for an international organization. The role requires 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex web application platforms, with hands-on experience in Angular, .NET, and MS SQL within an agile environment. Responsibilities include manual testing, API testing, load testing, and working closely with developers to ensure application quality. Experience with security, integration, and end-to-end testing is preferred. The position is long-term and open to freelancers and employees, requiring the candidate to work normal office hours in New York, US.

Category: IT Services Location: Fort Colombo Sri Lanka For an international organization in New York, we are urgently looking for a REMOTE (Senior) QA Engineer for .NET and Angular-based applications. The QA Engineer should be experienced with a history of working in an agile environment. Candidates must have hands-on experience working with Angular, .NET, MS SQL in teams building large consumer-facing web applications from the ground up. Candidates need to be fluent in English. All positions are long-term. This position is open for freelancers and employees. Candidates need to be able to work normal office hours in New York, US. Example 9 AM NY time equals 7:30 PM. Tasks and Responsibilities:

Work within an agile team to ensure the quality of complex .NET and Angular based Web and mobile applications;

Test applications in multilingual setup;

Execute functional test scripts and analyze bugs for systems in development;

Perform manual testing on a variety of browsers and operating systems;

Work closely with developers to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and resolve issues proactively;

Perform load testing using a variety of tools as per industry standards and suggest solutions for performance issues;

Perform API testing using Postman and similar tools;

Record defect details and create reports outlining the types of defects found and the steps taken to resolve them and update the regression test framework;

Maintain knowledgebase documentation in SharePoint;

Profile:

Bachelor or Master degree;

6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex web application platforms;

Experience performing manual testing and executing scripted test cases;

Experience with security testing, integration testing, API testing, end-to-end testing, and load testing;

Experience with Mobile application testing, browser compatibility, and accessibility testing experience;

Experience in identifying, analyzing, documenting, and reporting test results;

Experience in writing SQL queries (DQL);

Exposure to JMeter, BlazeMeter;

Exposure to GitLab and CI/CD pipelines;

Exposure to testing multilingual applications;

Good interpersonal skills to work with developers in an agile environment;

ISTQB or similar certification is a plus;

English language proficiency (oral and written);
