Role summary

Seeking a remote AWS DevOps Specialist for an international organization. The role requires 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud environments, focusing on build, release, CI/CD, and automated deployment of microservices using Docker. Responsibilities include migration, deployment, automation, maintenance, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AWS production systems. Proficiency in Python, Terraform, MongoDB, Redis, Git, and Bash is essential. Experience with core DevOps practices and Agile methodologies is required.

Category: IT Services Location: For an international organization in New York, we are urgently looking for a REMOTE AWS DevOps specialist with a history of working in an agile environment. Ideally, the applicant should have AWS experience in the Build, Release processes, Continuous Integration (CI) , Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) for the automated deployment of Microservices components using Docker Containers, AWS services and other technologies. Candidates need to be able to work +6 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York, US. Example 9AM NY time equals 7:30PM. Tasks and responsibilities:

Assist in migration of websites to AWS;

Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system;

Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems;

Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems;

System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms;

Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance;

Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions;

Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements;

Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform;

Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes;

Perform other duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above;

Profile:

Bachelor or Master degree;

+3 years of hands-on experience supporting application build and deployment in a AWS Cloud environment;

Experience and deep understanding of core DevOps practices (Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Monitoring);

Experience and deep understanding of DevOps integration with automated testing and/or automation deployment verification;

Experience and expertise in any of scripting languages and databases: Python, Terraform and MongoDB, Redis;

Knowledge/experience with AWS services – EC2, ECS, ELB/ALB, Security Groups, Route53, IAM, KMS, Cognito, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, Lambda, SES, SNS, SQS;

Familiar with various Branching strategies, pull request concept and GIT commands and Bash;

Knowledge/experience of Microservices architecture, Docker container implementation;

Certification is an advantage;

English language proficiency (oral and written);
