Role summary

ITS Logistics is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to perform a variety of facilities and general maintenance work. This role involves cleaning, repair, and maintenance of buildings and grounds, assisting with various maintenance activities, and addressing immediate operational and safety concerns. Responsibilities include janitorial, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and grounds maintenance tasks. The position also requires operating power equipment, including forklifts, and assisting with safety inspections and repairs as required by OSHA. The ideal candidate will have good judgment, problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, a good work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive motions.

Position Summary

Employees in this position perform a variety of facilities and general maintenance work in the cleaning, repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds; assist in a wide variety of maintenance activities, address immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and basic janitorial, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, painting, and grounds maintenance tasks. Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a sit down forklifts with attachments (forks, clamps, push pull), or other power equipment 80% of the specified shift

  • Operates equipment used in skilled trades including power and hand tools, etc. and performs duties including, painting, resetting rack beams, labeling racks, moving office furniture (boxes, other items, etc.), hanging pictures, wiping down bathrooms, filling battery water, conducting glass audits, inspecting emergency exit lights, changing light fixtures, performing minor dock door repair, performing outside trash removal, collects load bars, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Assists Distribution Safety Coordinator with Safety Inspections and repairs as required by OSHA.
  • Applies methods, practices, and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, renovation, cleaning and minor construction of buildings and utilities.
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Cleans sanitation lines
  • Makes suggestions for improvement in processes, cost reduction and customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Position Requirements

    The successful Candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Uses good judgment and problem solving.
  • Understands complex, multi-step written and oral instructions
  • Reads and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics
  • Displays excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships and work harmoniously with co-workers, peers, customers, vendors and suppliers
  • Has a good work ethic
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills.
  • Follows orders and completes work assignments with a minimum of supervision
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Plans and manages projects; schedules and prioritizes activities and adapts to changing work priorities

    • Physical demands

  • Works around heavy equipment, electricity, loud noises, flying debris, chemicals, poor ventilation, moving equipment, etc.
  • Protective clothing required: Closed toed shoes or steel toed shoes may be required.
  • Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 45% walking and 40% standing.
  • Repetitive motion involved on a daily basis may include, but not limited to, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and squatting.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds multiple times during a work shift.
  • Required to be onsite at the York, PA Facility Monday thru Friday

    • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Starting Rate: $25.00 per hour
