Role summary

Jack Morton is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join their Creative team in a hybrid role. The designer will be a creative problem solver and visual communicator, working with a team to create impactful live, virtual, and integrated experiences. Responsibilities include developing visual directions, creating compelling visuals for storytelling, managing print and digital production processes, and designing client-focused presentations. The role requires expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and presentation software, with a minimum of 4 years of agency experience. Experiential marketing or environmental design experience is a plus.

Jack Morton is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Creative team. At Jack Morton, the Senior Graphic Designer is a creative problem solver and visual communicator who works as part of a dynamic team of 2D and digital designers to create impactful experiences both live, virtual and integrated. Graphic Designers must have strong communication skills and be able to work conceptually with working knowledge of print and digital deliverables. Environmental design experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities as outlined in this Job Description may be changed from time to time by the Corporation, as it deems necessary, without further notice to the Employee.

Develop visual directions or systems and conceptual themes for existing clients, new business, and internal clients.

Able to follow and adhere to internal and external client brand guidelines and direction.

Create compelling and impactful visuals to support storytelling and overarching messaging

Working knowledge of print productions from small production to large scale, and digital media production and processes

Able to understand project requirements and client asks as well as understand project roles and responsibilities

Create visually strong and client-focused presentations for proposals and project communications

Remain current in design and industry trends

Have a strong work ethic and be able to meet deadlines

Effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with both internal and external clients and partners.

Be able to estimate project timing and meet deadlines.

Maintain a high-level of organized and able to prioritize, track, and deliver multiple projects

Work efficiently while maintaining and sharing working and archival files for all projects.

 Education and/or Experience 

College diploma from four-year college in Graphic Arts or related discipline

Must have 4 plus years of design experience in an agency environment

Experience in experiential marketing industry is a strong asset

Computer Skills 

Must have expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. After Effects is a plus, but not required. Must have expert-level presentation skills in PowerPoint and Google Slides as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.

Other Skills and Abilities 

Ability to translate design languages from print/presentation into digital visual designs

Complete understanding of file preparation for graphic production

Ability to research illustrations, photographs, and type o plan presentation of material, product, or service

Identify materials and production methods for innovative graphic solutions

Must be passionate about the work and output, in addition to being part of a larger collaborative team of creatives.

Experience in the event marketing or a creative solutions-based agency

Thrives in an entrepreneurial and independent environment.

Embodies flexibility, open-mindedness and receptivity.

Open to working across a variety of verticals and being a steward of the brands we service.

Exhibit the ability to multi-task, sell, and operate under severe time constraints and immovable deadlines. Good organization, detail and follow-up skills are required.
