Role summary

Keeley Construction is seeking a Site Safety Technician for a 12-month project in Wynnewood, OK, with potential for extension. The role involves conducting site inspections to identify hazards and ensure OSHA compliance, developing and delivering safety training, and assisting in policy creation. Responsibilities include leading accident investigations, collaborating with project managers and subcontractors on safety, maintaining documentation, and participating in safety committees. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of safety experience in industrial/mechanical construction, a strong understanding of safety regulations and hazard identification, and familiarity with OSHA standards and digital reporting tools. An Associate's degree in a related field and OSHA 30-hour certification are preferred.

Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Site Safety Technician with our Heavy Industries Group for a 12-month project in Wynnewood, OK, with the potential for longer if scope increases.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform both scheduled and unscheduled inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, including orientations and ongoing sessions, focusing on the proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in creating and enforcing safety policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to address safety concerns and ensure all parties are aligned with safety expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and other relevant documentation.
  • Participate in safety meetings and committees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in construction safety.

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of safety experience in an industrial/mechanical construction setting or equivalent education required.
  • A strong understanding of construction safety regulations, hazard identification, and incident investigation required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and digital safety reporting tools.
  • OSHA 30-hour preferred.
  • Must be able to work on the project job site in Oklahoma.
