Role summary
LeafLink is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to lead the evolution of its cloud infrastructure and developer platform. This role is responsible for ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and secure, while enabling engineering teams to ship software efficiently. The Staff Cloud Engineer will operate as a technical leader, shaping infrastructure architecture and platform standards. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure, leading improvements in Kubernetes and Helm deployments, developing CI/CD pipelines, implementing GitOps workflows, managing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, and enhancing system observability and incident response. The role also involves collaborating with engineering teams and mentoring engineers on best practices.
### Who you are
- 8+ years of experience operating production infrastructure in cloud environments
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture
- Deep experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience managing deployments using Helm
- Experience implementing GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo
- Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience building CI/CD systems using GitHub or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of system reliability, monitoring, and operational practices

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and modern DevOps tooling
- Implement GitOps workflows using Argo and infrastructure automation
- Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and related tooling
- Improve system observability, monitoring, and incident response processes
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment safety and platform reliability
- Guide infrastructure architecture decisions and platform standards
- Mentor engineers on operational best practices and infrastructure patterns
