Role summary

The Copenhagen Health Clinic is seeking a Cleaner on a casual basis to perform building cleaning tasks. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing furniture, emptying wastebaskets, and disposing of trash. The role also involves replacing light bulbs, soap, and towels, cleaning fixtures and furniture, and potentially assisting with groundskeeping and minor repairs. Candidates must have working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, and the ability to operate cleaning machinery. Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and repetitive motion is essential. The position requires dependability, thoroughness, and a willingness to perform physical tasks in various conditions.

**THIS POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEANING AND CARE OF THE COPENHAGEN HEALTH CLINIC ON A CASUAL BASIS**

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves responsibility for physical work involving the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning. Cleaning tasks are performed according to a well-established procedure. The work is performed under direct supervision. Does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

Sweeps, mops and washes floors and stairs;

Dusts chairs, tables, desks and other furniture;

Polishes furniture and brass;

Empties wastebaskets, collects and disposes of trash;

Arranges chairs and tables and other equipment for special use of building;

Repairs window shades, replaces light bulbs, soap and towels;

Moves furniture, supplies and other equipment;

Cleans walls, bath fixtures, equipment, beds and furniture daily;

May clear snow and ice from walks;

May mow lawns, trim shrubs, rake leaves and perform a variety of other grounds keeping tasks as assigned;

May assists in making minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs;

May load and unload trucks;

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Working knowledge of common cleaning, disinfecting methods, materials and equipment; skill in the use of cleaners and maintenance equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaner, carpet shampooer and floor buffer ability to lift heavy objects and perform work requiring bending, climbing, reaching, and repetitive motion; ability to get along well with others; willingness to perform routine cleaning and other physical tasks; willingness to be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, grime, offensive sights and odors, thoroughness; dependability, physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Pay Range$16.69—$21.73 USD
