Role summary

Nasdaq is seeking a Systems Operations Analyst with 3+ years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or a related field. The role involves monitoring production systems, troubleshooting issues, and supporting daily market operations. Responsibilities include managing system startup/shutdown, application updates, and recovery processes. The analyst will collaborate with clients, network providers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and maintain operational documentation. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience is required. Familiarity with Linux environments, networking fundamentals, Agile, DevOps, and scripting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor production systems in real time, identify issues, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and capacity problems to ensure uptime and performance.

Support daily market operations, including system startup and shutdown procedures, application updates, and recovery processes.

Collaborate with clients, network providers, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and technical issues quickly and effectively.

Maintain operational documentation and procedures to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Partner with developers and engineering teams to address operations-related challenges and implement solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience in data center, trading, or network operations.

3+ years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of Linux environments, including administration and troubleshooting.

Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing).

Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Familiarity with scripting (Bash, regex) and tools like GitLab, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Certifications relevant to systems operations or infrastructure management.
