About The Role
As a Staff iOS Engineer at Capital One Canada, you will play a critical role in leading the development of our mobile applications, specifically focusing on iOS platforms. You will be responsible for motivating, managing, and inspiring a team of talented software engineers to deliver innovative and high-quality products. Your hands-on development expertise will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of our mobile solutions, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and customer needs.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects such as Credit Keeper, which allows customers to view and monitor their credit scores, and Quick Check, providing certainty on credit card approvals before application. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that leverages cloud technologies, open source frameworks, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containers to build scalable, reliable, and innovative financial products. We prioritize agility and speed to market, enabling us to deliver exceptional customer experiences rapidly.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Extensive experience in application design, technical architecture, and full-cycle development.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile developers.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development best practices.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Work as part of a dynamic mobile development team throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
- Enhance software engineering practices by designing, developing, testing, and supporting technical solutions across various development tools and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance on how evolving technologies impact the domain, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
