Forward Deployed Engineer — Conversational Agents

Revin · Flatiron, New York City · Full-time

$120,000–$200,000 base salary + meaningful equity

Four days per week in our Flatiron office, with one remote day and flexibility when life comes up.

About Revin

At Revin, our mission is to bring superintelligence to the built world. We build conversational AI agents that help home service, construction, and remodeling businesses respond to leads, book appointments, and follow up with customers.

Over $2.3B in revenue runs on Revin. Our customers include Sears Home Services, Astara Capital, Del Air, Long Home Remodeling, ImproveIt Remodeling, and Sage Home. We’ve raised $10M from investors including Stellation Capital and 1Sharpe.

About the role

You’ll own customer relationships and the conversational agents that serve them. Working with operators running $100M+ businesses, you’ll turn business goals into agents that qualify leads, book appointments, and handle customer conversations.

This is a hands-on role across account management, conversation design, prompting, and agent deployment. You’ll lead customer working sessions, review real conversations, test changes, and troubleshoot workflows. Success means customers trust you, agents perform reliably, and your work produces measurable business results.

What you’ll do

  • Own your accounts. Lead onboarding, check-ins, and performance reviews. Set clear expectations, manage priorities, and follow through on customer issues.

  • Design and build agents. Learn each customer’s sales process and scheduling rules, then write prompts and configure voice and SMS workflows, business rules, and handoffs.

  • Test, launch, and improve. Review calls and messages, test realistic scenarios and edge cases, and refine agent behavior based on live performance.

  • Troubleshoot workflows and integrations. Investigate failed bookings, missing data, and unexpected behavior in systems such as Salesforce, ServiceTitan, i360, and LeadPerfection. Resolve configuration issues and work with Engineering on deeper fixes.

  • Demonstrate business impact. Track conversation quality, appointments booked, and revenue outcomes. Use results to recommend improvements, guide adoption, and identify expansion opportunities with Sales.

  • Shape Revin’s product. Work directly with the founders, Product, and Engineering to turn recurring customer needs into product improvements, reusable workflows, and internal tools.

  • Get close to customer operations. Occasionally travel onsite across North America to learn how customers work and support important launches.

Who you are

  • Experience owning customer outcomes. You may come from technical account management, customer success, implementation, consulting, account management, operations, or engineering.

  • Strong account management skills. You build trust with executives and working teams, manage competing priorities, and handle difficult conversations directly.

  • Clear writing and communication. You can turn complex processes into precise instructions and explain agent behavior to customers and technical teammates.

  • Technical aptitude. You’re comfortable getting into prompts, workflows, and data. Experience with APIs, CRM integrations, SQL, Python, or software troubleshooting is strongly preferred.

  • Practical problem-solving. You investigate what went wrong, test solutions, and learn unfamiliar tools. Experience with conversational agents, prompting, contact centers, or home services is helpful.

  • Ownership and ambition. You take initiative, make progress through ambiguity, and want to help build a consequential company.

Don’t work here if

  • You wait for instructions. You’ll be expected to identify problems, make decisions, and follow through without someone managing every step.

  • You want a predictable 9-to-5. Expect 50+ hour work weeks and urgency around customer launches and issues. We hold a high bar for quality and ownership.

  • You need an established playbook. You’ll work through ambiguity, experiment, and adapt as we learn how to apply AI to complex operations.

  • You don’t enjoy customer accountability. Calls, difficult conversations, and ongoing follow-through are central to the role.

Compensation and benefits

  • $120,000–$200,000 base salary and meaningful equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • $0 cost medical coverage

  • 401(k) matching

  • Lunch and dinner in the office

  • Gym membership stipend

  • CLEAR travel pass

  • Tech equipment

  • Mentorship pairing with a Revin advisor or investor
