Role summary
SGB-SMIT USA, a division of an international transformer manufacturer, seeks a Project Management & Planning Manager to lead their project management team. This role oversees the complete order lifecycle from entry to shipment, ensuring accurate processing, validation, and execution of customer orders. The manager will monitor the order backlog, proactively manage delivery commitments, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to establish realistic customer delivery dates. Responsibilities include resolving order-related issues, escalations, and customer concerns, as well as developing and maintaining order prioritization processes aligned with company objectives and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Your tasks: 📌
Lead the project management team and oversee the complete order lifecycle from order entry through shipment and invoicing.
Ensure accurate processing, validation, and execution of customer orders.
Monitor order backlog and proactively manage delivery commitments.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to establish realistic customer delivery dates.
Resolve order-related issues, escalations, and customer concerns.
Develop and maintain order prioritization processes aligned with company objectives.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and customer specifications.
Your profile: 🔎
Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
7+ years of experience in project management, supply chain, production planning, operations planning, or order management.
3+ years of leadership experience managing planning or customer order management teams.
Strong ERP and MRP system knowledge.
Experience with Power BI, or similar reporting tools preferred.
Understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
PMP Certification
