Type: Full time

About the Client

A long-established residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical brand that has served Albuquerque homeowners for generations. The business is part of a national, private equity-backed home-services platform that brings shared services, proven playbooks, and capital to grow.

About the Role

This is a General Manager hire with a structured on-ramp. You join as Assistant General Manager, take ownership of the back end of the business first, and then step into the GM seat. The plan is for you to own the brand within roughly five to six months of starting.

The first phase is about learning the business from the inside: how calls become jobs, how jobs become cash, and where the operation leaks. The second phase is the full seat: the P&L, the leadership team, and the trajectory of the brand.

Industry background is not required. We care about whether you have run an operation, been measured on the result, and led people who do hard, physical work.

Responsibilities

First months: the back end

  • Call center, CSRs, and dispatch: booking rate, scheduling, and speed to the customer.
  • Billing, collections, purchasing, inventory, and the monthly close.
  • HR, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and fleet.
  • Systems and reporting: the field-service software and the scorecard the business runs on.
  • Licensing, permitting, and safety compliance.
  • Then: the whole business

  • Full P&L: revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and growth targets.
  • Leadership of service, install, and sales teams and their managers.
  • Field economics: technician productivity, average ticket, close rate, callbacks, and membership growth.
  • Forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews with platform leadership.
  • Requirements

    Must-Haves

  • A track record running an operation, or the back office of one, where you were measured on the result, in any industry.
  • The ability to take on full P&L ownership within about six months.
  • Leadership of frontline teams. You have led crews, technicians, or operators and earned their trust.
  • A systems mindset: you build the process, install it, and verify it worked.
  • Financial fluency: you can read the P&L, find the leak, and close it.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Albuquerque.
  • Nice-to-Haves

  • Operations, general management, or business-unit leadership in home services, field services, or another service business.
  • Experience with field-service management software and call-center metrics.
  • Prior military leadership followed by civilian operating experience.
  • Compensation & Benefits

$120,000 to $170,000 base salary, plus an annual bonus and a long-term incentive.
