Role summary
SpaceX is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer (PCB/PCBA) to support its Starship program. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing and quality tools, with a focus on enabling suppliers for success in producing high-quality components for rockets and rocket engine avionics. The engineer will serve as a technical point of contact, manage new product introductions, analyze production data, drive root cause analysis for quality issues, and lead containment and corrective action efforts. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in manufacturing engineering and new product development, with a deep understanding of electronics fabrication, PCBs, and PCBAs. This is a highly technical, hands-on position requiring problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

We are actively looking for candidates who possess comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and quality tools and have unrelenting motivation to enable suppliers for success. This position will support our Starship program and requires a combination of proven leadership and technical capabilities.
This is a highly technical position that requires practical experience in manufacturing engineering and new product development through stabilized production for an array of fabrication processes (components and assemblies) used in rockets and rocket engine avionics. The ideal candidate will have a broad and thorough understanding of electronics fabrication methodologies including printed circuit boards (PCBs), engineering laminates, electrochemical processes, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and/or EEE components with their associated processes. This candidate must have the desire and capability to take on new challenges in unfamiliar areas to help enable our mission to Mars.
