Role summary

Children's Dental Center is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to provide compassionate, high-quality dental care to children. The role involves assisting the dentist, preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, performing polishing and fluoride treatments, placing sealants, educating patients and parents on oral hygiene, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a valid South Dakota RDA license, current BLS certification, and strong interpersonal skills with a love for working with children. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and treatment procedures.

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).

Perform coronal polishing and apply fluoride treatments.

Place dental sealants as directed.

Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene practice.

Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting.

Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

Valid South Dakota Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred but not required.

Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine love for working with children.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
