Role summary

The LTL Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative oversight of all LTL shipments, troubleshooting transportation issues, and facilitating communication between LTL carriers and Spot Account Managers. This role requires strong PC skills, organizational abilities, and excellent customer service to manage fast-paced and potentially stressful environments. While LTL or logistics experience is not required, demonstrated problem-solving and professional communication skills are essential for success in this results-oriented position.

About The Role:

The LTL Coordinator’s role is responsible for day-to-day administrative oversight of all LTL shipments that move through Spot’s systems, as well as providing consistent troubleshooting for any transportation issues the customer might need resolving.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all LTL shipments from beginning to end 

Assist with communication between LTL carriers and Spot Account Managers via phone and email

Notify LTL carriers with updated information about shipments as needed

Complete check-calls to ensure the most up-to-date status on every shipment 

Update billing on shipments as needed with the LTL carriers

Interact professionally with LTL Carriers’ sales reps and Spot Account Managers

Update Spot Account Managers on the status of their customers’ shipments routinely 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Previous customer service or call center experience to keep up with a fast-paced and stressful environment, while maintaining professional, clear, and concise communication.

Logistics or LTL experience is not required

Skills:

Demonstrated the ability to “hear” the concerns of customers, even if they are irate, and respond professionally with solutions to whatever issues arise.

Highly proficient with PC skills, typing skills, and experience working with several screens and interfaces.

Equipped with organizational skills to succeed in a results-oriented environment and execute priorities.
