Project Management Specialist – Senior

Position Overview:

The Project Management Specialist – Senior provides advanced technical project management, data management, and acquisition support in alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW) for ASI TPMS. This role is responsible for supporting complex Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs by leading full lifecycle project management activities and delivering data-driven insights to enhance planning, performance, and execution. The position plays a critical role in ensuring mission success across multiple high-visibility defense programs and weapons systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical project management support across all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing.
  • Coordinate and manage project schedules, timelines, staffing, procurement activities, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead and guide technical teams, ensuring alignment with program objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with Government clients, Program Offices, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Support acquisition activities for multiple defense programs, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver comprehensive data management support, including planning, performance tracking, reporting, data analytics, and metrics development.
  • Develop and implement repeatable processes, best practices, and tools to improve efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Support Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities, including organizing and facilitating meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Produce detailed reports, dashboards, and briefings to support leadership decision-making and program oversight.
  • Conduct continuous evaluation of project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Adjust project priorities, resources, and requirements as needed to maintain alignment with mission objectives.

Program Support Scope:

This role directly supports multiple major defense acquisition programs and weapons systems, including but not limited to:

  • VH-92A Presidential Helicopter Program
  • Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Airborne Strategic Command, Control, and Communications Program Office (E-6B Aircraft)
  • NAVAIR Unmanned Carrier Aviation Program Office
  • Counter Uncrewed Systems initiatives
  • NAVAIR V-22 Joint Program Office
  • Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Integrated Warfare Systems Program Executive Office

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, preferably within DoD or federal environments.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing technical teams or complex programs.
  • Minimum of 3 out of the last 5 years supporting DoD project management or acquisition programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting major defense acquisition programs (MDAPs) or similar large-scale programs.
  • Strong background in data analytics, performance metrics, and reporting within a program management environment.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition frameworks, policies, and lifecycle management processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
