The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to begin the admissions process early!

We fight back. Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) is the nation’s first and most successful public interest law firm dedicated to vindicating individual liberty. PLF has an unmatched record in the US Supreme Court, with 18 victories out of 21 cases heard by the Court. We focus on four core areas: Environment & Natural Resources, Equality & Opportunity, Property Rights, and Separation of Powers.

Although our unofficial slogan is “Suing the government since 1973” we do a lot more than that. PLF's Federal Legal Policy team helps develop and execute strategies to secure federal legislative and executive reforms to expand individual liberty and reform the unconstitutional regulatory agencies.

This is where you come in. You’re an inquisitive, creative, and self-motivated college junior, senior, grad or law student, or recent graduate who knows the principles of liberty and seeks to advance them. You have strong written and oral communication skills and enjoy problem solving.

This internship provides an opportunity for a wide variety of experiences, including:

  • Reading and summarizing important legislation and executive and agency action.
  • Developing briefing materials for use in meetings with executive and legislative branch officials.
  • Attending coalition events, Hill meetings, and other related advocacy efforts.
  • Writing blog posts and opinion pieces relating to PLF core federal work.

This position requires in-person presence in PLF’s Arlington (Clarendon) office.
