About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership on complex, cross-cutting platforms and systems that underpin our core services. Your expertise will influence the architectural direction of scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that support multiple teams and product areas. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to design and implement extensible systems, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive innovation across the organization. Your contributions will directly impact how new technologies are adopted and integrated, ensuring that our infrastructure remains robust and adaptable to future needs. As a technical leader, you will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of leading large, cross-functional initiatives
• Extensive experience designing and operating distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and APIs at scale
• Proficiency with data storage and access patterns, including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into production environments
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability as a technical leader
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to influence teams and stakeholders without direct authority

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and evolution of shared platforms, frameworks, and services that support multiple teams and product areas
• Provide architectural guidance and hands-on technical leadership for complex initiatives spanning multiple organizations
• Evaluate, experiment with, and guide the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance scalability, efficiency, and reliability
• Balance technical innovation with operational excellence, considering cost, security, performance, and reliability factors
• Mentor and influence engineers across disciplines, fostering technical excellence and long-term growth
• Collaborate closely with product managers and business partners to align technical strategies with organizational goals
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
