About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our core Fulfillment product team. In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting and developing systems that manage the entire patient lifecycle—from referral receipt to radiology report delivery. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of workflows for hundreds of imaging centers and health systems, ensuring patients receive timely and frictionless imaging services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, system integration, and operational automation, with a keen eye for building resilient, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. As part of our team, you will engage in designing patient intake workflows, developing monitoring systems, creating operational dashboards, and automating critical processes to support our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare technology solutions.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in integrating legacy systems with modern platforms, especially in healthcare or similar regulated environments
  • Strong proficiency in backend development, particularly with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience building reliable, scalable web services and APIs
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design, schema versioning, and API contract management
  • Operational instincts including instrumentation, failure mode anticipation, and handling on-call escalations
  • Ability to develop complex internal dashboards and create user-centric experiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working with legacy infrastructure such as RIS platforms or core banking systems is a plus
  • Healthcare experience is advantageous but not mandatory; depth in engineering and legacy system fluency are primary
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build systems that automate and optimize patient workflows, including intake, scheduling, and reminders
  • Develop and maintain monitoring systems to track patient progress and operational metrics at scale
  • Create efficient dashboards for scheduling, legal operations, and patient services teams to facilitate decision-making
  • Own and enhance automation layers such as referral ingestion, task assignment, AI voice reminder calls, and operational dashboards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement improvements to reduce operational escalations and enhance resilience
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security in all development activities
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold engineering standards
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our systems
