Role summary

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and registered nurses in surgical procedures. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment before, during, and after surgeries. The position offers no weekend or evening shifts and is part of a collaborative operating room team dedicated to exceptional patient care. Requires graduation from an accredited program and current BLS certification, with preferred clinical experience in an operating room setting.

JOB TITLE: Surgical Technologist (Certified) – No Weekends/Evenings

Reports To

Physician and/or Registered Nurse

General Summary of Duties

Surgical Technologists, also known as Scrub Technologists, Surgical Technicians, or Operating Room Technicians, assist in surgical procedures under the direction and supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.

As a vital member of the operating room team, the Surgical Technologist helps ensure a safe, efficient, and sterile environment before, during, and after surgical procedures. Operating room teams commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, registered nurses, and surgical technologists working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care.

Education, Experience & Requirements

Required

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, as required by state regulations.

Individuals who qualify under applicable state grandfathering provisions may be exempt from certification requirements.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred

One (1) to two (2) years of clinical experience in an operating room setting.

Candidates with zero (0) to two (2) years of related clinical experience may be considered.
