Role summary

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is seeking an MS/Insurance Specialist to manage patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing and processing for payment. This role involves posting charges, adjustments, and payments, following up on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and working Accounts Receivable (A/R) with various insurance companies. A minimum of a High School Diploma and 1-2 years of experience in medical/physician hospital patient billing is required. The position reports to the Business Office Manager and has no direct supervision responsibilities.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for patient accounts, ensuring that all needed information is correct in the specific billing system so that the charges can be processed and sent for payment. Responsible for patient accounts until paid in full or turned over to an outside collection agency. Posting (charges, adjustments and payments), EOB follow-up, working A/R, working with various insurance companies. Experience in medical/physician hospital patient billing background.
