Role summary

The Senior Program Manager is an onsite role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic client programs. This individual acts as the primary client interface, owning program financials, stakeholder management, and coordinating hybrid onsite-offshore teams. Key responsibilities include driving program planning, risk mitigation, financial forecasting, and ensuring adherence to SOWs, SLAs, and KPIs. The role also involves establishing PMO governance, managing escalations, and partnering with sales for account growth. This position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of program delivery within client-facing environments.

The Onsite Program Manager is responsible for
end-to-end delivery ownership
of one or more strategic client programs. This role acts as the
single point of accountability at the client site
, ensuring predictable delivery, strong stakeholder management, financial governance, and seamless coordination between offshore and onsite teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the
primary onsite interface
for client stakeholders across business, technology, and operations.
- Own
executive communication
, program reviews, and steering committee updates.
- Manage expectations, handle escalations proactively, and ensure high client satisfaction.

Program & Delivery Ownership

- Own
end-to-end program delivery
across multiple workstreams (applications, data, platform, QA, DevOps as applicable).
- Drive program planning, milestones, dependencies, risk tracking, and mitigation.
- Ensure adherence to agreed
SOWs, SLAs, KPIs, and governance models
.

Financial & Commercial Management

- Own
program financials
: revenue forecasting, cost tracking, margins, and billing coordination.
- Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and commercial discussions in collaboration with account leadership.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

Team & Resource Management

- Lead and coordinate
hybrid onsite–offshore teams
(delivery managers, tech leads, architects, QA, etc.).
- Drive resource planning, onboarding, utilization optimization, and performance management.
- Provide coaching and direction to program and project managers within the account.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

- Establish and run
PMO governance
including cadence, metrics, and reporting.
- Proactively identify program risks and dependencies; escalate with clear options and recommendations.
- Ensure delivery compliance with
Tavant processes, client standards, and regulatory requirements
.

Account Growth & Relationship Building

- Partner with sales and account leadership to
identify growth opportunities
within existing accounts.
- Support renewals, extensions, and new initiative proposals through delivery credibility and insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the client on delivery strategy and execution.
