Techno is seeking a Structural Design Engineer with 6-15 years of experience to join their corporate team in New York City. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Techno is looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our corporate team. In this role, you will be managing and executing a variety of civil engineering projects while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with strong technical knowledge and project management skills. Collaborate on structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.

Perform structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and retaining walls, including preparation of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

Perform design tasks, prepare bid documents including drawings and specifications, and organize all drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables, with supervision from project managers and senior staff.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to facilitate project success.

Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure projects align with design and safety guidelines.

Oversee project documentation, including permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance.

Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

6-15 years of experience in structural engineering.

Demonstrated experience in bridge design, with additional experience designing culverts and retaining walls preferred.

Experience with NYSDOT and/or NJDOT projects and familiarity with their design standards and procedures are preferred.

Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Mathcad, etc).

Strong understanding of engineering principles, local regulations, and permitting processes.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

COMPENSATION

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $120,000-$170,000/yr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
