Role summary

The Wilkinson Firm seeks a contract Healthcare Compliance Specialist focusing on Behavioral Health in North Carolina. This role involves preparing clients for CARF surveys, ensuring HRSA grantee reporting compliance, managing Medicaid SPA and CMS Conditions of Participation, and designing 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality protocols. Candidates should have experience as a former CARF surveyor, HRSA program officer, Medicaid SPA practitioner, CMS CoP reviewer, or 5+ years in senior compliance at a CMHC, FQHC, or IDD agency. A CHC or CCS-P credential is preferred. The role is remote with an hourly rate of $75-150 or a project-based fee for CARF survey prep.

Engagement: Independent contractor, 1099. Rate range: $75-150/hr engaged OR $5-15K per CARF survey prep. Location: Remote with NC state focus. Reports to: HR Advisory Division Lead.

Who we want

BH compliance specialists with one or more of: former CARF surveyor experience, HRSA program officer background, Medicaid SPA practitioner work, CMS CoP review work, or 5+ years senior compliance at a CMHC/FQHC/IDD agency. CHC, CCS-P, or equivalent credential preferred.

Engagement structure

$0 retained. $75-150/hr when engaged on client work. $5-15K per CARF survey prep. Annual maintenance retainer available. Referral fee for sourced clients.
