Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Technician in Raleigh, NC, to manage hazardous waste programs for a client. This role involves hands-on handling of chemicals and hazardous waste, operating equipment like a material shredder, and wearing a respirator. The position requires excellent customer service, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include working a night shift on a rotating schedule, participating in an emergency response team with on-call duties, and performing tasks that may require lifting up to 60 pounds. A High School Diploma, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and basic knowledge of the hazardous waste field are required. Prior industry experience and HAZWOPER certification are preferred.

Environmental Technician

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Environmental Technician to service a client based out of our Raleigh, NC office.

This highly motivated, detail-oriented, customer service-focused individual will be responsible for working on site for the client by helping them manage their hazardous waste programs.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

Technical:

Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

Developing a strong working knowledge of computer software programs that support the operation.

Assist Program Manager as requested.

Hands-on:

Handle chemicals and hazardous waste in small and large containers.

Utilization of a material shredder.

Willingness to wear a respirator for 2 to 6 hours per day.

Customer Service:

Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service.

Positive attitude, high energy, and good communication skills.

Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team

Basic Requirements:

Ability to work a night shift (7pm to 7am shift on a rotating 4-3-4 schedule).

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Basic knowledge of, or interest in, the hazardous waste field.

1+ years of customer service experience.

Self-motivated person with the desire to learn.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship

Must have a reliable form of transportation

Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)

Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

Must be able to report to site/office within 1 hour while on emergency response call.

Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis

Ability to work overtime on when needed

The Environmental Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
