Role summary

Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Education Program is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and empathetic Program Manager to oversee program services in Los Angeles County. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring contract compliance, and coordinating services for adults, women, children, and families, particularly those experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities include direct client work, modifying program services, collaborating with partner agencies, conducting quality assurance, leading team meetings, preparing reports, and providing crisis intervention. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in program management, case management, and staff supervision, with familiarity in homeless services best practices and HMIS/CHAMP systems. This is an onsite, full-time position.

Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Education Program (Turning Point) provides a continuum of human services throughout Los Angeles County and operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.

Turning Point programs provide reentry housing for women, reentry services for men and women. food, clothing, referrals, and on-site supportive services to adults, women, and families.

Turning Point is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and empathetic Program Manager to oversee program services and join the team and support the mission of helping and providing support to the adults, women and children, and families of the program.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing contract compliance and outcomes of the program.
  • Under the direction of the Executive Director, responsible for the daily operations of the program to include program management and coordination of work order assigned to.
  • Work directly with Participants enrolled in the agency-wide programs.
  • Create, change and modify program services to meet client needs enrolled in agency programs, including reentry, housing, mental health, etc.
  • Collaborate and partner with partner agencies to establish outreach, resources and to develop life skills workshops for clients
  • Conduct quality assurance review for program files, case management, and contracts.
  • Organize and lead team meetings.
  • Coordinate agreements and services with other partner agencies.
  • Prepare monthly statistical reports to Executive Director and/or funders using the HMIS/CHAMP system, as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team and Clinical Supervisor to ensure that services flow seamlessly with the program’s continuum of care.
  • Supervise staff and interns.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess organizational intelligence and be able to implement the systems necessary to achieve the goals of the program.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred or related experience.
  • 2 years of related experience to include supervision of staff.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with best practices in homeless services: Trauma-Informed Care, Housing First and
  • Harm Reduction
  • Experience with the HMIS/Clarity System to include input and reports.
  • Experience working with women and children experiencing homelessness.
  • Must be available for on-call
  • Provide case management and/or mental health services in permanent supportive housing to include establishing a crisis response system.
  • Possess strong verbal and written skills.
