Role summary

United Glass Ventures, LLC, a contract glazing and architectural aluminum window manufacturing company, seeks an Assistant Project Manager for its commercial construction projects in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. This full-time, onsite role requires prior project management experience in the building construction industry, with glazing industry experience being a plus. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, bridging communication between the internal team and the General Contractor/customer. Responsibilities include scheduling, submittal preparation, customer communication, vendor quote requests, order tracking, reporting, and compliance document gathering. Proficiency in construction management software like Procore and Bluebeam, blueprint reading, estimating, and contract knowledge are essential.

United Glass Ventures, LLC is a premier contract glazing and architectural aluminum window manufacturing company based in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The company specializes in commercial aluminum curtain wall, window wall, storefront, windows, all glass entrances, and custom metal fabrications for new construction projects throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.

Position Description

An Assistant Project Manager is integral to the project management team and is responsible for assisting in the coordination of projects of varying size and complexity. United Glass Ventures is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our commercial construction and glass contracting company. This full time, salaried role requires that an individual has prior Project Management background in the building construction industry, at a minimum. Experience in the glazing industry is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

This role is multifaceted and helps bridge the communication between the internal project management team and the General Contractor/customer.

The person selected for this position is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks and reports to the Project Manager. The assistant could be called upon to fulfill a number of duties ranging from pre-construction scheduling, preparing project submittal documents, maintaining communications with the customer, preparing requests for vendor quotes, executing & tracking material orders, preparing reports to the internal team & customer, and gathering documents for the project compliance.

Qualifications- the ideal candidate will possess some/all of the following:
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore
- Strong project scheduling and coordination skills
- Experience in construction management and project management
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and other premium construction software a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction schematics
- Knowledge of construction estimating and contracts
- Excellent time management skills for project deadlines

Candidates must be reliable, proficient with computers, and have strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Software used: Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid, Quickbooks, MS-Excel, MS-Word, Google G-Suite
