Role summary

A Senior Finance Specialist with a focus on GL Accounting is needed for a fixed-term contract role in a global tech company. The position is hybrid and based in Tbilisi, running until August 2027. Responsibilities include processing accounting documents, ensuring accuracy, implementing group policies, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing, financial statement preparation, assisting stakeholders, handling audit requests, and regulatory reporting. Requires 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, knowledge of IFRS, understanding of accounting processes, and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of local GAAP, financial statement preparation, SOX compliance, and NetSuite are considered a plus. Fluency in English is essential, with other languages being an advantage.

This role is hybrid and a fixed-term contract until August 2027.

What You’ll Be Doing

GL Accounting for defined entities.

Processing of primary accounting documents and data input in ERP system.

Ensuring that the primary accounting documents are accurate and complete.

Implementing and ensuring group accounting policies and principles are followed.

Balance sheet reconciliations.

Month end closing activities for defined entities.

Financial statements preparations.

Assisting different stakeholders with accounting related questions.

Assisting with audit requests.

Preparation of various regulatory reporting.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential:

4+ years of previous relevant accounting experience.

Previous knowledge of accounting and IFRS.

Previous knowledge of local GAAP and knowledge of preparing Financial Statements is a plus.

Understanding of accounting processes.

Prior knowledge of SOX Compliance matters is a plus.

Good analytical skills.

Degree in Finance, Accounting.

Prior experience in NetSuite is a plus.

Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Other languages are an advantage

Must be able to be based in Tbilisi.
