Program Manager
Role summary
A global Accreditation Body seeks a Program Manager to build and run a new accreditation program, focusing on ISO/IEC 17021-1. This hybrid role requires 3-4 days onsite in the DC-Baltimore area or Boulder, CO, with approximately 10% US travel. Responsibilities include overseeing accreditation processes, performing assessor oversights, managing program documentation, and training staff and assessors. The ideal candidate has 10 years of certification technical experience with various ISO standards and a strong understanding of conformity assessment and auditing principles. A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is required.
X4 Engineering are working with a global Accreditation Body looking for a
Program Manager
to join the team as soon as possible.
This is an opportunity to join a
respected, established Accreditation firm and take ownership of building out and running a new accreditation program.
This role will be
hybrid: 3-4 days on-site per week in one of two offices: DC-Baltimore area, or Boulder, CO
. There will be approximately 10% travel across the US.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of, and the accreditation process(es) of CABs for
ISO/IEC 17021-1.
- Perform
assessor oversights
in the Certification area.
- Proactively manage
all aspects of the assigned accreditation program
, such as ensuring that program documents and forms are current, and relevant association website sections are current.
- Train staff and prospective assessors
to the ISO/IEC 17021-1 standard
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary:
$85,000-$110,000

Education & Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field of study.
- 10 years of certification technical experience
(e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 22000, etc).
- An understanding and implementation of relevant
conformity assessment standards
(e.g., IAF MD documents).
- Experience with
assessing (or auditing)
including principles, techniques, and application of requirements.
