YipitData, a leading market research and analytics firm specializing in alternative data for Brands and Retailers, seeks a Business Development Associate to join their Corporate Sales team. This role focuses on identifying new client opportunities, engaging prospects through various communication methods, and qualifying inbound leads. The position offers a career path towards Sales Associate and Sales Executive roles. The ideal candidate has prior SDR experience, a passion for data-driven solutions, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and thrives in dynamic environments. The role can be performed remotely within the US, with a preference for proximity to NYC for training. Compensation includes a competitive salary, variable pay, and comprehensive benefits.

About The Role:

We are hiring a Business Development Associate to help our Corporate Sales team engage new clients. Our newest Business Development Associate will identify prospective opportunities and utilize a number of communication methods to begin a sales engagement, as well as qualify inbound sales leads/opportunities and follow up with marketing-qualified opportunities.

The Business Development Associate career progression is a path toward being a Sales Associate, and then a Sales Executive focused on bringing on and engaging new business.

This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States, but we strongly prefer this person to be in commutable distance to NYC for initial training. Depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. Please note that we pay NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of where employees choose to work.

In this role, you’ll gain experience in:

  • Developing creative outbound sales skills by leveraging various communication methods, including cold calling, cold emailing, direct mail, and more.
  • Working with Product, Sales, C-level stakeholders, and Strategy professionals who rely on the next generation of alternative data research to help with their strategic decisions.
  • Collaborating with Marketing to optimize the opportunity conversion process
  • Mapping out organizational structures of leading Brands and Retailers to identify prospective users
  • Opportunity to develop skills across a broad range of sales tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Groove, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, Asana, and others

  • The annual salary for this position is anticipated to be up to $96,000 On-Target Earnings ($70,000 Base + $26,000 Variable). The final offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal team benchmarks.

    • This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Please note that our US headquarters are located in NYC. We also have office hubs in Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, and Seattle. If the remote work is performed outside these offices, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding.
