CAPREIT is seeking a Leasing Consultant for their multisite communities, Charter House and Bucknell Apartments, in Silver Spring, Maryland. This role involves providing excellent customer service to prospective residents, planning marketing activities, showcasing the community, and processing applications. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in apartment leasing, preferably with Affordable Housing (LIHTC) experience, and proficiency in property management software like RealPage, OneSite, or Yardi. A valid driver's license and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are strongly preferred. Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to prospective residents by planning and participating in marketing activities to attract prospective residents; greeting applicants, showcasing the community, and collecting applications; communicating the features and benefits of the community with potential residents.

Assist the Community Manager by processing applications in a timely manner, taking resident phone calls, following up with prospective residents, and completing additional, on-going administrative functions of the community

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

1 to 3 years of experience in apartment leasing
Affordable Housing experience (LIHTC preferred)
Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a company vehicle and/or golf cart
Experience with property management software (RealPage, OneSite, and/or Yardi), or the ability to quickly learn new systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, to effectively communicate with and support a diverse resident population
