Role summary
Cross River is seeking an SVP, Tokenization to build and lead a new business focused on tokenizing consumer credit and distributing it to institutional investors. This founding, P&L-controlling role requires end-to-end ownership of tokenized issuance, distribution, onchain settlement in USDC, and the associated data, reporting, and servicing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in private credit, specialty finance, or alternative asset management, with demonstrated ownership of an Asset Management function and experience in consumer credit transactions. Responsibilities include managing the P&L, building investor relationships, defining technology strategy, overseeing onchain operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a bank's control environment. The role involves hiring and leading a small, senior team.
Who We Are
Cross River builds the infrastructure behind the world’s most innovative financial products. Our technology and capital solutions power payments, cards, lending, and digital asset capabilities that move money safely, instantly, and inclusively — trusted by leading fintechs, enterprises, and disruptors across the globe.
Our mission is simple: to build the financial infrastructure that expands access and opportunity for all. Guided by a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and purpose, Cross River has been named one of American Banker’s Best Places to Work in Fintech year after year. Whether you’re designing code, solving regulatory puzzles, or developing strategy, you’ll join a team where innovation and integrity drive everything we do — and where your work helps shape the future of finance.
What We're Looking For
Cross River originates billions in consumer credit annually through its multiple partners. We are building the rail that packages Cross River-originated credit and other interests into tokenized form, distributes it to institutional investors nationally and internationally through licensed partners, settles onchain, and provides the reporting and servicing infrastructure that institutional buyers require. The General Manager owns that business end to end: tokenized issuance, distribution through licensed partners, onchain settlement in USDC, and the data, NAV, attestation and investor-reporting infrastructure.
This is a founding, P&L-controlling seat. You will not inherit a template, a partner playbook, or a technology stack- you will decide what they should be. You will work alongside the Bank's origination, structured product and principal finance teams, who supply, structure and price the assets, while you own everything that happens after: how the asset is tokenized, distributed and how it is reported on for its life.
Mandate. Take the business from first transaction to functioning platform.
Launch. Establish the legal, technical and operational chain end to end, and execute the first programs.
Industrialize. Turn bespoke execution into a repeatable product, so that each successive program launches faster and costs less than the last.
Broaden. Expand the range of offering and distribution.
