Role summary

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join their team in Atlanta, Houston, Indianapolis, or New York. The role involves project performance and profit responsibility from day one. Responsibilities include communicating with drafting staff, clients, and external teams; preparing preliminary designs; reviewing building codes; attending client meetings; coordinating with project managers and other engineers; producing structural calculations and construction-ready design drawings; and managing construction administration tasks like shop drawing review and RFI responses. A BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering and 0-1 years of relevant internship or co-op experience are required. Revit experience and proficiency with analysis/design programs (RAM, SAP2000, RISA) are highly preferred.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team

Prepare preliminary designs for clients

Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design

Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers

Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction

Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy

Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering

0-1 years of structural engineering internship or co-op experience

Revit experience is highly preferred

Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
