About The Role
Airbus Commercial is seeking a highly skilled HR Data Analyst (Contract) to join our dynamic team in Herndon, Virginia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage data analytics to influence HR strategies and enhance the employee experience. As an HR Data Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to design and implement analytical methodologies that solve complex business problems. Your responsibilities will include data extraction, exploratory data analysis, and the creation of dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively. You will be instrumental in developing hypotheses, employing a diverse set of analytical tools and frameworks, and telling compelling data-driven stories that inform decision-making. This position requires a versatile individual with a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights to support Airbus's mission of innovation and excellence in human resources.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics, Applied Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data analysis, with proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Practical experience applying analytical skills and tools such as Tableau and SQL within a business environment.
  • Knowledge of structured, semi-structured (XML, JSON), and unstructured data sets.
  • Experience working with databases, data models, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and deploying models.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer are a plus.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Perform large-scale data analysis using mathematical and statistical methods to extract meaningful business insights.
  • Identify actionable insights and develop recommendations that influence HR strategies and decision-making.
  • Design and support the development of data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Skywise) for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting tasks.
  • Write and execute complex data queries using SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Document data processes, methodologies, findings, and solutions for transparency and reproducibility.
  • Present data analysis results and insights clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on data projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Continuously learn and apply new data technologies, tools, and best practices to improve analytical capabilities.
  • Work with semi-structured and unstructured data to assemble large, complex datasets meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to support HR initiatives and predictive analytics.
  • Perform business data analysis to identify key facts and provide strategic recommendations in line with Airbus standards.
