Role summary
ViaQuest ICFs is seeking Youth Support Specialists (DSPs) in Mansfield to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring health and safety. Responsibilities include supervising, teaching, assisting individuals, household tasks like meal preparation, and personal care. No experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications. - Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
- Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Providing personal care assistance.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's Ohio license and car insurance.
- Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
- No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
- Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
