Role summary

Kokua Education is seeking part-time substitute paraprofessionals in Minneapolis for the 2026-27 school year. Earn up to $143/day with weekly pay and flexible scheduling, working up to 5 days/week. Requires at least 6 months of experience working with children, an Associate's Degree or 60 college credits, and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities include student supervision during lunch, recess, and testing, as well as tutoring. Offers a fast hiring process, path to full-time roles, and daily support. Background checks are required and reimbursed after 10 assignments.

You’re a great fit if you:

Have at least 6 months working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

Have an Associates Degree or 60 college credits

Feel confident fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported

Are willing to step in where needed - this could include lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season

Are willing to work at least 2 days/week

Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments)

Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
