About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst at Sharecare plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our data operations. This position involves conducting in-depth research and analysis to resolve complex data issues, proactively monitor data trends, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, QA, Operations, and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing membership eligibility data, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring seamless data intake, processing, and reporting. They will design and execute database queries, develop and maintain enterprise dashboards, and support ad hoc reporting needs. This role requires a technically proficient individual with extensive experience in SQL, data visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik, and scripting languages like Python. The Senior Data Analyst will also mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of experience in data management, analysis, and reporting
- 2-4+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database querying, including Oracle and PL/SQL
- Experience with data handling, validation, and business processes
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting for automation and data analysis
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and tools like Toad or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of programming logic and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate intake, processing, and delivery of membership and external data sources
- Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies, discrepancies, and anomalies, communicating findings clearly to relevant stakeholders
- Design, develop, and execute complex database queries to meet internal and external analytical requirements
- Monitor data trends proactively to identify potential issues or opportunities for process improvements
- Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise BI dashboards and reports
- Validate data integrity through testing, developing new validation procedures as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide insights, and recommend improvements
- Lead responses to internal customer inquiries related to data issues and analysis
- Manage and improve data processing workflows, including monthly and daily operations
- Execute one-off data fixes, operational tasks, and special requests efficiently and accurately
- Assist in system configuration to meet customer needs and support successful implementations and terminations
- Mentor junior analysts, sharing best practices and technical knowledge
- Document processes, analysis, and technical specifications for transparency and future reference
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency enhancements
